This 3-hour continuing education course examines the neurological, psychological, and spiritual impact of music across the lifespan and its clinical application in counseling and ministry settings. Participants will explore music’s influence on brain development, limbic system activation, dopamine pathways, attachment formation, trauma regulation, and emotional processing. The course also evaluates the therapeutic use of guided imagery and music, worship music’s emotional effects, and ethical considerations when integrating music into clinical practice. Evidence-based research and trauma-informed frameworks will guide practical application.
